Jerry grew up and graduated from high school at Sauk Centre, Minnesota. He attended Macalester College and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. After college, Jerry joined St. Paul Book & Stationery Company and became Senior Vice President and shareholder. He was VP of Office Products for E.C.M Publishers and currently is a Consultant to the company and management advisor to the Community Affairs Council of the company. He has served on the Boards of Directors of National School Supply & Equipment and National Office Products Association and the James J. Hill Reference Library. He is also active with the Russian Farm Community project, traveling to Russia in 1996 to visit the projects.

Rotary has been very important in his life. He has been a member of the St. Paul Rotary Club since February, 1966 and served as District 5960 Governor in 1993-94. He received the Citation for Meritorious Service from The Rotary Foundation and the RI Service Above Self award in 2000.

Beyond District 5960 activities, Jerry served two years as Training Leader at the International Assembly in Anaheim, Zone 27 Coordinator for several RI Task Forces and as Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator. PolioPlus and PolioPlus Partners have been key interests for Jerry, demonstrated by his participation in several National Immunization Days in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Delhi, India and Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also represented our District at the Council of Legislation in Delhi, India. He is currently the PolioPlus Partners Task Force Assistant Chair for the United States of America.

Jerry and Jeanne are Major Donors and Benefactors to The Rotary Foundation and both sons are Paul Harris Fellows. Congratulations to Jerry who will serve as the Rotary International Director representing Zones 27 & 28 from 2001-2003.
