A few of our most popular community service activities are: Christmas visits to our local elderly care centers where the Rotarians sing Christmas carols and distribute gifts to the residents; a pontoon outing at Big Wood Lake ending with a chicken barbeque for the elderly of the care centers and the community. Pontoon rides around the lake are offered to all, including those in wheel chairs. Several of the Rotarians are good at catching and filleting panfish. A fish fry is held at the local Burnett Medical Center each summer where the residents enjoy a meal of fresh fish served by the Rotarians. The medical staff seems to enjoy the treat as much as the residents, and there is always enough fish for the Rotarians who seem to enjoy the project as much as anyone. Our club also participates in the Adopt-A-Highway project, and furnishes a graduating youth scholarship each year. |

Our annual golf and fishing contests serve to be very popular with invited guests from other clubs, especially with the Roseville Club with whom we have paired for inter-club fellowship for about 40 years. |
