| Historical Highlights: |
We have sponsored and run the River City Days Parade in Red Wing almost since the inception of the club. 2. We have adopted Red Wing Pottery Pond Park. We have funded and planted trees and shrubs, funded a restroom and picnic shelter. Annually we a fishing contest for the kidâs in the winter and summer. We conduct several park cleanup days during year. 2. We built a disc golf course in 1999 and now sponsor an annual disc golf tournament. 3. We sponsored a high school marching band competition in June for three years, but were unable to sponsor this past year (2004) simply due to lack of interest from schools. 4 Sponsored and run PAR (Polio Ainât Rid) golf tourney jointly with Lake City Rotary Club. Third annual just completed in 2004. Have raised $8,000 plus donated to Rotary Foundation to eradicate polio. 5. Adopted Pottery Pond, a city park with beautiful pond adjacent to Mississippi River. We have donated and planted trees, pruned and trimmed bushes and trees and made the park a better place. 6. Sponsored and conducted 2 Kids fishing contests per year jointly with the local radio station for 12 years. Contest is for all kids of the Red Wing area and held one in the winter and one in the summer. 7. Sponsored and conducted various community events including Donkey Basketball, Celebrity Basketball, and professional wrestling.

| Historical Highlights: |
Provide annual Service Above Self Award to a city or county employee who has practiced the Rotary motto âservice above selfâ 2. The club awards $3,000 in college scholarships every year, one of $2,000 to a high school senior and two of $500 to the local community college.
