White Bear Lake Rotary Park â Picnic area facility and restroom facilities and landscaping. Project done in cooperation with the City of White Bear Lake.
The club supported several Hmong immigrants when the first wave came. Assistance for starting new Businesses in woodworking and farming were provided.
The âDinner with Santaâ project and the âSenior Picnicâ are focused on area seniors. Seniors are picked up by club members and taken to a dinner and program event.

STRIVE â Program for high school students that want to improve their grades. College scholarships are given to students who show the most improvement. White Bear Rotarian Don Mooney started this project privately at the White Bear Lake High School. Eventually it was moved into the White Bear Rotary Club as a club project. Many club members traveled to other Rotary Clubs to introduce them to the project. This project has had much success and is used by Rotary Clubs all over the world.
The Academic Achiever Program highlights high achieving high school students to the community.

Jamaica â The Rotary Club of White Bear Lake has had a long relationship with the Rotary Club of Kingston Jamaica. Over more than 15 years the two clubs have done many projects together. Several projects in Kingston area schools were completed, equipment for an eye clinic was supplied, and several computer projects were completed as well as other projects. Visits between the two clubs have been made. Past President Tom Jefferson was instrumental in establishing this relationship. Don Bosco â Our club has had a long relationship with the Don Bosco Technical High School in San Jose Costa Rica. Several Matching Grant projects in cooperation with the Rotary Club of San Jose have been completed. Former White Bear Rotary member Mario Perez is now with the San Jose Club and has been very helpful in coordinating these projects.
Our club has participated in the Open World Program and hosted several Russian teams.

The club has been very active in the Youth Exchange program. Our exchange students are treated as regular Rotary members. Each year our club hosts 1 or 2 students and sends several students outbound. Because of our International projects with the Don B |
