COMMUNITY SERVICE
Historical Highlights:   Since it’s inception the Rotary Club of Winona has continuously worked to better the Winona community including raising funds to build a Frisbee Golf Course near Lake Winona, re-surface the Lake Park bike path, re-furbish the Lake Winona Bandshell, re-furbish Lake Winona Lodge, build the bike path bridge on East Lake Winona and construction and maintenance of the Windom Park Gazebo.

The Rotary Club of Winona has continued to promote literacy throughout it’s existence through the “Rotary Readers” program where Rotarians to into classrooms in the public and parochial schools to read to students once a month. The Rotarians leave the books in the classrooms as a gift to the schools. “Books for Babies” is another literacy project done in conjunction with the Winona Community health Nurses. Through this program board books are donated to families with babies to encourage parents reading with their children.
