DISTRICT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT EVENT
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2005
8:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Minnesota Humanities Commission
987 East Ivy Avenue, St Paul, Minnesota
From 35E, exit on Maryland Ave to the east. Go 1.6 miles to Earl Street, turn left and go north four blocks to E. Ivy Ave. Turn west and you will see the Center on your right.
You are invited to attend a special event to provide more tools, skills, and information for the district team. The format is intended to be Rotarian-Friendly as we are combining three meetings into one to reduce the number of times we ask you to travel for team or training purposes. We will conduct an Assistant Governor Meeting, an Advisory Council meeting and a Leadership Development Seminar to create an EVENT.
This is an opportunity to acquire a greater awareness and participation in our many areas of service as we begin a new Rotary year with new themes and a new century.
Some of the participants are experienced district leaders and others will be starting their first district level assignment. After the Advisory Council Meeting you will be invited to share in a discussion of the following issues:
Ø Identification of district-wide concerns
Ø How does the team work together to problem-solve (concerns)?
Ø How do district team members communicate with each other and with the Clubs?
Ø What is leadership?
Ø Recognizing the spark or how to identify potential leaders
Ø How do we develop future leaders?
You are encouraged to attend for the contribution you will give and receive. Please feel free to invite and welcome anyone working on a committee you chair that would also like to attend. Please complete the website registration form and send (or fax to 651/636-8799) to Jingle by September 23, 2005.
