Printable 06-07 Club Service Goals
Club Service includes the scope of activities that Rotarians undertake in support of their club, such as club organization, serving on committees, proposing individuals for membership, and meeting attendance requirements. The successful administration of a Rotary Club through the development and management of various committees, includes Membership, Attendance, Classification, Public Image, Club Bulletin, Website, Magazine, Fellowship Activities, Program and Rotary Information.
District Club Service objectives for the 06-07 Rotary year include:
1. Membership – -Minimum of 1 net new member at each club -Focus on retention – helping those who are now a member of Rotary to become a Rotarian -Strive to have membership Reflect Your Community. (gender, age, race, vocation, etc.) -Utilize the club’s assigned District Membership Committee member as a resource/speaker -Strong new member orientation program -Recommend or sponsor a community to Extension Chairs for a new club
2. District Involvement – -Goal is to have one member from each club actively participating on a District committee
3. Club Involvement – Not everyone has to participate in everything but should participate in something -Goal is to have all club members participate on a committee and a minimum of one club service project and one club fellowship event -Presidential Citation (for the Club) -District Governor “Touching Hearts” Awards Program (to be announced at District Conference) -Support the Family of Rotary Focus -Schedule regular club Assemblies or Rotary information programs
4. Publications – -Submit stories/projects/events to District for monthly newsletter -Strong Club Bulletin -Encourage Rotarians to read “The Rotarian” monthly magazine -District 5960 website (rotary5960.org) -Rotary International website (rotary.org) - Create/improve and maintain website
5. Public Image – -Tell our Rotary stories (special Rotarians Touching Hearts -Public Image contact at each club -Provide resources/training to each club contact
