The District Technology Team outlines the protocols and standards of operation for our district technology. This committee reviews, recommends, promotes and supports the use of technologies, which would enhance the District's Office and leadership service to the clubs. The District Technology Team outlines the protocols and standards of operation for our district technology. This Team reviews, recommends, promotes and supports the use of technologies, which would enhance the District's Office and leadership service to the clubs. The team assists the clubs via the Club Internet Communications Officers.
You should look to your Technology Committee for:
-Resources for your club on software and electronic communication issues, social media
-'How To' assistance on email, web sites, presentations, online meetings, etc.
-Technology Program for a Club Meeting.
The Webmaster/Administrator: charged with moving the vision of a comprehensive, easy to navigate District 5960 Website to fruition. This person also promotes club web site development. Additionally, the district social media, such as Facebook, Pinterest, etc. is supported.
--The Education Team: charged with defining and delivering training to meet the needs of district leadership. This effort has been recently redirected to coordinate tech assistance through the Club Internet Communications Officers, or CICO's. This team also reports on technology and training progress at our district events: District Conference, Foundation Celebration, AG Training, District Training Assemblies and Midterm.
--The District Office Team: charged with supporting our district office in the areas of hardware and software through procurement, set up, training and maintenance. This committee assists in electronic communication in all aspects of information management within out district. This includes all District Governor notices of district events, District Newsletter and membership support information. Additionally, conduct an annual review of the contracts of support for both the website and a Managed Services Agreement.
--District Technology Support Team: charged with providing technical support for our presenters at all District training sessions, including Midterm and District Conference. This committee also creates and staffs a tech booth at the Midterm and District Conference. All speakers and presenters must complete the, “Conference Speaker Checklist”. The Tech Team is to be included in ALL planning and facilitation of any conference function where technology is utilized and need four weeks notice prior to the event.
--District Webinars Committee: charged with providing support, administrating all webinars in the district and record keeping of all webinars. All webinars must include a member of this committee unless prior understanding and permission is given.
The foregoing does not apply to audio conferences, committee meetings, or similar regardless of the platform. A training webinar is defined as a facilitated structured training event.
