What is District Enhancing Participant Engagement?

Diversity- People of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities, regardless of their age, ethnicity, race, color, abilities, religion, socioeconomic status, culture, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Equity- Carefully considering how to provide differing levels of support, opportunities, and resources so participants have a welcoming and productive experience.

Inclusion- Creating experiences in which all people are welcomed, respected, and valued.

Why Focus on Districts to Enhance Participant Engagement?

As a part of a global network that strives to build a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change, Rotary District 5960 values diversity and celebrates the contributions of people of all backgrounds, regardless of their age, ethnicity, race, color, abilities, religion, socioeconomic status, culture, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

As the geographic region of District 5960 continues to grow in diversity, the district is committed to increasing diversity in its own demographics while maintaining environments of equity, inclusion, and belonging.

To support this pillar, District 5960 assembled a district team to collate District Enhancing Participant Engagement resources, increase Visibility of This Work, and elevate clubs and members who are already doing fantastic work in this space. Working together since early 2020, the committee is striving to help District 5960 continue to grow in this area.
