Endowment & Major Gifts

An endowment gift to The Rotary Foundation will go beyond your lifetime – and become a part of THE PERMANENT FUND. This fund enables individuals to combine their gifts into a significant force to address the world’s greatest needs for generations to come. Such a gift is often referred to as a Bequest Society gift.

A major gift is a single gift of $10,000 or more. Many Rotarians in our district will achieve Major Donor status through our Annual Fund or PolioPlus gifts, which, over the years, combine to reach this level.

We have 222 Major Donors, 105 Bequest Society Donors and 48 Triple Crown Donors (see below) in District 5960.

Our D5960 Rotary family has many who have made and continue to make these significant contributions to The Rotary Foundation and the are invited to become a TRIPLE CROWN DONOR when you are a:

MAJOR DONOR – cumulative or single donation of $10,000 or more.

BEQUEST SOCIETY MEMBER – By making a planned gift of $10,000 or more via your estate plan, or you may also elect to make a current gift to THE PERMANENT FUND.

PAUL HARRIS SOCIETY DONOR – An annual gift of $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus or an approved Foundation fund

Permanent Fund Contributions can be made in several ways:

  • Bequest in an Estate Plan.
  • Life Insurance
  • Outright Gift

The links found elsewhere on this page will help you learn more about making such gifts. I will also answer additional questions you or members of your club might have about The Permanent Fund.
